Where are we ?
Our flat is located in the 18th « arrondissement » of Paris, at the croassroads of Rue de Clignancourt & rue Ordener, just a stone throw away from the Butte Montmartre.
It’s a prime location and can be accessed easily from the main airports and train stations, or through public transport.
Whether you want to know how to reach our flat or how to continue your journey from our flat, find all the infos below !
via public transport
From / to airports
CDG (Charles de Gaulle Airport), any terminal
Unless you travel really light, we suggest you avoid public transport from / to the airport. Public transport can be a hassle with all your luggage.
We usually suggest using a Taxi FROM the airport & a VTC (Uber or FREENOW) TO the airport.
See details below.
BEWARE : fake taxis (car or motorbike) will try to lure you in, straight from the arrivals hall. DO NOT FOLLOW THEM or you’ll pay indecent prices…
ALWAYS look for the real taxi spots, that are clearly indicated within the airport & only enter a taxi with a real « Taxi » light sign.
- PRICE : Taxi prices to/from the airports in Paris are regulated by law : you will only pay 55€ for a ride to/from CDG Airport to/from anywhere on the right bank of the Seine (where our flat is located), unless you pre-book your taxi, which will add a fee of 4 to 7€.
- DURATION : between 25 to 50min, depending of time of the day & traffic.
VTC (Véhicule de tourism avec chauffeur) is the common denomination for non-taxi driver services. Most common in Paris are UBER & FREENOW.
Contrary to taxis, you CANNOT get one in the street, you HAVE to download the app prior & order a ride. Most VTC app offer also the taxi alternative, so you can compare indicative prices.
- PRICE : variable (so are waiting times) depending on demand & traffic, usually cheaper than taxis.
- DURATION : post waiting times, the ride takes anywhere between 25 to 50min, depending of time of the day & traffic.
- Board the RER B (blue line) at the airport, any southbound train (direction Saint-Remy-les-Chevreuses or Robinson) should stop at Gare du Nord.
- Disembark at Gare du Nord.
- Change for line 4 (violet line), direction north (Porte de la Chapelle), stop at Marcadet-Poissonniers.
